The enrichment programme together with the many extra-curricular options available in the school, provides all Year 12 and 13 students with opportunities to complement their main programme of study and for personal development.

Student leadership plays an integral role in The Park Academies Trust. Our Student Union offers students the opportunity to experience one of a number of leadership roles. Leadership enables our students to be proactive and independent, whilst empowering them with key skills for their future.  (More information on the Student Union can be found in the Help & Support section).

Drama and music have a particularly high profile in the school and sixth form students regularly take leading roles. Students can pursue sporting interests and complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme up to Gold.

Students are encouraged to take responsibility within school; they work alongside tutors and subject teachers offering in-class support. Students willingly volunteer to support school charity events, parents’ evenings, open evenings, induction days etc.

Support of students in the lower school is central to the role of sixth form students through leading activities, coaching students and providing support in lessons.

All year 13 students undertake a weekly enrichment session tailored to develop their non-qualification skills and provide evidence beyond the classroom for their post-18 destination application.
