Induction Information
Induction Day - Friday 26th June 2026
We’re excited to welcome our new Sixth Form students with an inspiring and informative Induction Day on Friday 26th June 2026. This year, we’ll be visiting the University of Bath for a Higher Education Information Day, followed by some relaxed social time in Bath City Centre.
What to Expect
Our induction programme is designed to help you transition smoothly into Sixth Form life. You’ll get a real sense of what it’s like to study with us, meet key staff, and begin building the skills and mindset needed for success in your A Level or Level 3 courses.
Why Induction Matters
Choosing the right subjects is crucial. You should select courses that:
• Genuinely interest you
• Support your future university, apprenticeship, or career plans
• Encourage independent learning and intellectual challenge
Induction Activities & Expectations
You’ll receive a PiXL Post-16 Gateway Subject Progression Booklet for each of your chosen subjects. These booklets include essential induction tasks that:
• Must be completed by your first lesson in September
• Will be assessed and contribute to your first data entry point
• Demonstrate your readiness and commitment to Sixth Form study
If you are unable to attend the Induction Day, all materials will be available on The Park Academies Trust Sixth Form website. It is your responsibility to complete the tasks before the start of term.
Additional Support
Alongside subject-specific resources, we’ll also provide:
• PiXL Post-16 Gateway and PiXL Post-16 Unlock materials
• Transition support to help you build on your GCSE knowledge and prepare for Year 12
